The Oldest Game [Preludes and Nocturnes]
« on: December 08, 2014, 08:10:27 AM »

Spoiler: Rules • show

Anyone who posts becomes something (anything really), and describe how it could defeat the thing the former player has become (explain how it beats or trumps the last described form and you EMPHASIZE the impact).

You shouldn't leap through scales of being — the interactions between them should seem clear. e.g. jumping from "Horse" to "Atomic Bomb" makes no sense.

If you are a fan of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, then this is familiar.  If you aren't, here is an example of play from the series:

Player 1: I am a dire wolf, prey-stalking, lethal prowler.

Player 2: I am a hunter, horse-mounted, wolf-stabbing.

Player 1: I am a horsefly, horse-stinging, hunter-throwing.

Player 2: I am a spider, fly-consuming, eight legged.

Let's begin…

I am a jaguar.  Jungle-creeping, stalking killer.

I am an old-timey camera.  Image reproducing, native soul stealing.

Camera wins?  No way…

I am a clumsy janitor.  Wet mop slinging, tripod toppling, camera crashing.   :P
