We're well underway now, and I've got five players. Still, if anyone is interested in playing, stop on by and let me know. We might be able to get you in for Chapter Two. Thanks.

Hello everyone. For anyone interested in playing in a D6 Star Wars game, we've got one starting up in the next few weeks.

The game location is at Dagarthorn's Games; the recruitment thread is listed here. I'm looking for four to five players. I've got one definite, one maybe, and two to three openings. If you're interested, send me a PM here or stop on by and register. Below are the specifics.
Name of Game: Living by the Sword
System: Star Wars, D6, 2nd Ed, R&E
Type: Space Opera / Action
Special House Rules: No hokey religions (Jedi), ancient weapons (lightsabers), or mystical energy fields (The Force and Force Users). You know what I mean.
Players: 3 (minimum); 4 (ideal); 5 (maximum)
Occupational Requests: You can be anything you want provided that you understand the special house rules listed above and understand that this game will put your character into a position where the best option is piracy.
Posting Requirements: To be determined. These fluctuate. Generally speaking if your character is being prompted to respond and there isn't a response in a week, we're moving on.
Starting Date: Saturday October 8, 2011 (possibly sooner if everyone is ready to go)
Other Requirements: None, just a note; for those who don't have the Core Rules, character creation is demonstrated "here"(link).
Synopsis: A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, civil war raged across the galaxy. As the Empire put its finishing touches on its super space station, the Death Star, many of the worlds that were caught in the crossfire of the civil war were left shattered. Either directly by war, or by having the men conscripted to fight on the side of the Empire, economies were wrecked and many people starved or left in search of dangerous jobs in the Rim. The Empire's idea of bailing out those they had ruined was to enslave them in mines and work camps. While there weren't many people looking for secret Alliance recruitment depots, there were a lot of desperate people who had been left to hate the Empire as it rolled right over their worlds. Lots of these people banded together, seized ships, took up arms, and directly assaulted Imperial supply lines in space or took on missions on the ground against Imperial barracks, bases, and shipping facilities. They did it for revenge, and they did it to make a living. We're not talking about the dregs of galactic society; we're talking lawmen, engineers, soldiers, pilots, and professions from all across the galaxy that wanted to see the Empire stopped but felt the need to remain anonymous and not be identified by a galactic symbol. The Rebel Alliance was too big for the likes of many, and if the Empire was to be beaten, then it would be a guerrilla war; not a conventional one.

Game Interest and Speculation / Anyone for an Ice Pirates Game?

I know, it's a bit campy and designed to be sci-fi spoof, but I feel it has potential as a backdrop for a D6 adventure. Would anyone be interested in something like that being run here?

We have officially started. Currently I have three players, and possibly two on the way. There are slots still available, so please check us out if you're ready to play.

Big news!...Well, at least it is in my neck of the woods. I just compiled a working copy pdf. of the Core Rules for the upcoming game. It can be found here. I know some folks are particular about having printable rules, and while these may be a little rough, they're edited more so than what we've used in the past.  ;D I'll be putting up a more refined edition in time, but for now, these will do nicely.

I am running a Transformers D6 Game here. The rules are located on the site. The game is going to be set on Cybertron prior to the launching of the Ark (approximately 4 million years before present time). We will be starting up on August 11, 2011 (a Thursday). We currently have two players, and I would like to have about five, so any Autobots willing to join the battle against the Decepticons can PM me here or on site. I compiled the rules, so if anyone needs help creating a character, I'm available.

Hope to see you there.

I agree. I was especially pleased with Karl Urban's performance as Bones.
