I could be convinced to go full-cleric.  But, you know, a cleric that likes to hit things and make them dead as well…

<Pictures Robert Downey Jr.>  "You never go full-cleric."

Or you can do that, it really doesn't take that much shifting to make a full plated cleric with the War domain perhaps and a good favored weapon into a good substitute fighter and cover the frontliner role as well.

Frontline all the way!!!

Here are the stats: STR 17, DEX 14, CON 14, INT 12, WIS 14, CHA 5

…and I get a five.  Still a +7 overall, though, so I think I'll stick with it.

After figuring for a 4th level increase (+1), and a +2 bump for being human, here are the final adjusted scores:

STR 18, DEX 16, CON 14, INT 12, WIS 14, CHA 5

…Or a really dumb human cleric:

STR 14 DEX 12 CON 14 INT 5 WIS 18 CHA 16

I think I'll be using that aasimar/sorcerer suggestion Sac posted at the end of the last page.  That'll give us some useful healing redundancy.

@Ski-Bird, I don't know if I've ever roleplayed in a campaign with a character that had a 5 stat. Nobody ever said frontline had to be pretty or talk good.  :)

Digger, if you want to keep your elven wizard I'm not at all opposed to it as you're in the luxury position then of being able to pick whatever concept you want. If you keep the elf, elves are profificent with longbows, so get a +1 longbow and you'll have a +8 attack bonus with it for 1d8 damage to put around, who needs magic missiles then? Focus spells on utility stuff for now, perhaps buffs, and some attack spells for when you want to strike harder. Next level you get access to Fireball and Lighting Bolt, not at the same casts per day amounts as the sorcerer will on level 6 but as a wizard you have the ability to get both of them then buy extra spells for example from that 10th level retired wizard in that nice castle when you're up for tea. Focus spells on utility and things to mess up the playing field for the enemy and buff your own troops as you don't have to be the main caster of death-by-spell. Wizards have enormous potential for being clever and horribly annoying bastards and even if you don't drop an Invisiblity spell on him your little hairy friend got a +15 stealth roll to scout out the area in advance and set up the opposition for a fall. Basically that combo of a really good stealther, and a wizard with too much time on their hands is a dungeon monster's worst nightmare.

Cyclone just brought up the hit points issue so here it is; Maximise the first level as normal (if your die reads 1d6 you get 6) and roll the other three, but the minimum you can roll is half your HD so round up to that, so if your 1d6 HD character rolls a 1, 2 and 5 you get 3, 3 and 5.

…Or a really dumb human cleric:

STR 14 DEX 12 CON 14 INT 5 WIS 18 CHA 16

"Durr, I go casting the magic now, can I casting it please please please? Oooh, doggy-head man is injured, here you go, nice doggy. Urrr, daddee why you looking at me like that? Did I do bad?"

Yeah... I don't think you can use intelligence as a dump stat for a score that bad. So unless you want to drop those other pretty good rolls it's either the fighter type (possibly barbarian could work) I suggest point buy default if you want a cleric. Although if you had both that divine sorcerer and a cleric, and that sorcerer and a wizard... you'd never run out of spells to cast in a encounter, you'd ruin any challenge this adventure has with some clever play.

Anyway thanks to the kind Gods of Moderation we have a board! Head on over. Given that there's a certain chance we'll have to make replacements later (or maybe not, these are actually really strong characters) I'm going to make a separate OOC thread and a character creation thread for current and future characters. Transfer all character creation work you got so far into that thread. Once we finalize we'll just post all characters in a single characters thread. The child board is both for mine and your benefit and use, if you encounter evidence from a crazy undead aboleth that the Elder Elemental Eye is actually a Beholder Hive Mother post it up in that forum, it's for everything we know, and I'm actually going to be posting both truth and falsehoods in it.
